Social Feature Section

Your RS Store Website comes with a dedicated social media section which allows you to display your Facebook and Twitter feeds as well as YouTube videos in a tabbed interface. To manage this section, select “Social Feature Section” from the Site Admin dropdown menu. Once selected, the following dialog box will be displayed on the screen.

  • To change the order in which your social tabs are displayed, use the "Up" and "Down" buttons.
  • To delete a social tab, click on the red "X" next to the tab you want to remove.
  • To add a new social tab, click on the "Add Features" button.
  • To edit a social tab, click on the pencil icon next to the tab you want to edit.
  • Click the "Close" button to save your changes.

ADDING/EDITING THE FACEBOOK TAB

  • In the Heading field, enter the text you want to appear on the tab itself.
  • In the Facebook Page URL field, enter the complete web address of your Facebook page.
  • Check the "Show Latest Posts" box to display your Facebook feed on your website.
  • Check the "Show Faces" box to display the profile picture of those who post on your page.
  • Click “Save”once the entries are complete.

ADDING/EDITING THE TWITTER TAB

  • In the Heading field, enter the text you want to appear on the tab itself.
  • In the Data Widget ID field, enter your Twitter Widget ID. To generate your ID go to https://twitter.com/settings/widgets. When promted, login to your Twitter account, click on the Create New button and follow the onscreen instructions.
  • In the Twitter Username field, enter you username.
  • Click “Save”once the entries are complete.

ADDING/EDITING THE YOU TUBE TAB

  • In the Heading field, enter the text you want to appear on the tab itself.
  • In the YouTubeVideo IDs field, enter the YouTube ID for each video you would like displayed within the tab. Each video ID needs to be separated with a semi colon.The video ID can be found within the web address of the YouTube video. It will be a series of letters and numbers. Include all characters that follow the "=" symbol .

    Example:
    The ID for the following video is highlighted in orange: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kT0s-Td82gk
     
  • Click “Save”once the entries are complete.

ADDING/EDITING A GOOGLE VIRTUAL TOUR TAB

  • In the Heading field, enter the text you want to appear on the tab itself.
  • In the Embed Image Code field, enter the embed code required to display the Google Virtual Tour on your website. When obtaining the embed code from Google use a size of 360 x 360 when generating the embed code.

  • Click “Save”once the entries are complete.
